Mysteries of the Protectorate
The Golden Road
The Golden Road is a major transit hub that bisects the Protectorate into a northern and southern portion. It is so named because in it’s early years the road was used to transport gold and other valuables from the wilds of the west to the heart of the Protectorate.
Unfortunately, the lucrative nature of the goods being transported meant that bandits would often rob many people who travelled the Road. Due to the large distance that the Road covers, the Protectorate has a difficult time policing it. Normally soldiers are only seen in and around Protectorate cities, the University, and any Protectorate controlled farms along the Road.
